1. Check Google Drive Trash Folder

6. Check By Using Incognito Mode
Another fix, more of a partial one that has helped users find the missing files on Google Drive, is to use the incognito mode on their web browser.
- You can select your favorite web browser and open incognito mode on it.
- Login to your Google Drive account.
- Open the specific folder where the file is missing. There are chances it will show up in incognito mode.
- If you have found the file, open it and then close it.
- Switch over to the standard mode and open Google Drive.

8. Restore Using Admin Console
This method works for a Google account that is not personal. You can request the administrator to restore the deleted files using the Admin Console. Here are the steps that are required to be followed for this method.
- Sign in to the Admin console with your log-in credentials.
- Click on Apps, and then you need to select G Suite.
- After this, tap on Drive and Docs option.
- Navigate to Manage Team Drives. Here you need to choose a filter to filter the files for a specific user.
- Click on the Restore option.
- Select the range for data restoration and finally click on the Restore Data button.
9. Contact Google Support
If you have reached here, this means none of the above-mentioned methods worked for you. As a last resort, you can try contacting Google Support for help. Do note that you have to be the owner of the missing file for Google Support to help you recover it.
- On the browser, search for “Google Drive Help.”
- Click on Contact us and select the “Missing or deleted files” option.
- Select “Email support” to contact Google Support via email.
